LONDON — Keir Starmer became Britain’s next prime minister, ushering in a new era after 14 years of Conservative rule, after a stunning victory that brought his left-learning Labour Party to power with a huge majority. Starmer met King Charles III at Buckingham Palace and he was invited to form a government.
