The ministry noted RudraM-II is an “indigenously-developed solid-propelled air-launched missile system meant for Air-to-Surface role to neutralise many types of enemy assets.”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said: “the successful test has consolidated the role of the RudraM-II system as a force multiplier to the Armed Forces.”

Earlier this month on May 1, India successfully flight-tested supersonic missile-assisted release of torpedo system. Before that, the south Asian country had conducted successful test of a new version of a medium-range ballistic missile.
