Robots with artificial intelligence (AI) systems have apparently started their journey of defeating humans as a Guinness World Record has been secured by such an intelligent machine in Japan after it solved a Rubik’s Cube.

According to a New York Post report, the robot TOKUI Fast Accurate Synchronized Motion Testing Robot broke the earlier record of solving the puzzle in a mere 0.305.

The earlier record was held by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology robot which was 0.38-second in 2018.

The speed was much faster than a human Max Park “holy grail” time of 3.13 seconds in 2023.

The leading engineer of the project Tokui told Guinness: “I checked the videos of the previous record holder, and I felt that the motor we have is better than theirs. So I was confident that we can beat them with speed.”

Earlier, the Tokui robot was first made to handle motor-related products for the electronics manufacturer.

The robot was trained and then finally it secured a record in late May, using an artificially intelligent color-recognising algorithm of Mitsubishi.

“I know that our products can make the world an even better place,” Tokui said, adding, “I hope the record will allow people everywhere to know what our products are capable of.”
