Juhi Chawla has been revealed as India’s wealthiest actress, with an estimated net worth of INR 4,600 crore ($554 million), according to the Hurun India Rich List 2024.

Juhi Chawla, a prominent Bollywood star of the 1990s, surpassed contemporary actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra.

The report, which tracks the wealth of India’s most affluent individuals, highlighted that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan remains the wealthiest actor with INR 7,300 crore ($880 million) in assets.

Despite her reduced presence in films, she has maintained a thriving career through various ventures.

Her wealth has put her in an exclusive category, as no other Indian actress has yet reached the INR1,000 crore mark.

The 2024 Hurun India Rich List also reported a surge in the number of ultra-wealthy individuals across the country, with 1,539 Indians now holding assets exceeding INR1,000 crore.

Few months ago, a recent report released by Forbes shows how Bollywood’s elite has perfected the art of raking in the big bucks!

Forbes, an American Magazine has published a report featuring the list of the highest-paid Indian film stars, spanning from Bollywood to South Indian cinema.

Using the data from IMDb, the top 10 highest-earning Indian actors for the year 2024 have been identified.

At the top of the list is Bollywood’s “King Khan,” Shah Rukh Khan, who commands a staggering INR 150 crore to INR 250 crore per film.

Bollywood, the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai, is the largest film producer in India, known for its musical numbers, melodramatic plots, and larger-than-life heroes

Ranking second is South Indian superstar Rajinikanth, who earns between INR 115 crore to INR 170 crore per movie.
