This year, Ganga Dussehra will be celebrated when the Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi and Ravi Yoga will be aligned together.

This year, Ganga Dussehra will be celebrated on June 16. 6 auspicious coincidences will be taking place on this occasion, i.e.- Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yog and Ravi Yoga. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga and Amrit Siddhi Yogas will be formed from 05:23 AM till 11:13 AM. The alignment of these yogas will be considered auspicious for shopping purposes. The yogas will also be formed in the Jyeshtha month, Shukla Paksha, Dashami Tithi, Hasta Nakshatra, Gar Karan and Virgo Moon sign.

This year, Ganga Dussehra will be celebrated when the Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi and Ravi Yoga will be aligned together. In Ravi yoga, bathing in the Ganga and performing charity help in getting relief from problems and pacifying household problems. By worshiping the Goddess Ganga in these yogas one attains the blessings of the divine powers. According to the Panchang, Dashami Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha will commence on June 16 at 02.32. It will end on June 17 at 4.40 am. On Ganga Dussehra, Hasta Nakshatra will remain till 11:13 am and after that, Chitra Nakshatra will begin.

Variyaan Yoga will also be formed on this day and will continue to remain so till 09:03 pm. Astrologers consider Variyaan Yoga to be auspicious and by doing charity in this Yoga, the devotee gets sure results.

On the Ganga Dussehra, the devotees should wake up early in the morning and take a bath. Many of them like to mix a few drops of the holy water from the Ganga to the tap water for a bath. Devotees usually observe fast on Ganga Dussehra. They also offer Arghya or offerings to the Sun god or Surya Devta which is important on the day. People pray and offer naivedyam to the household deity and Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on the day. After a short meditation, the puja is concluded by performing Ganga Aarti.
