Rita Ora opened up about her star-struck experience, working with Brandy on Descendants: The Rise of Red.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Your Song hitmaker got candid about sharing the screen with the person she idolized while growing up.
“Oh my gosh, it’s crazy – I did a movie with Brandy!” the 33-year-old singer-songwriter and actress exclaimed. “I mean, I love her so much.”
“I loved her music growing up, she was one of the vocalists that I would try and imitate every day in my bedroom,” she raved over Brandy.
“And watching her Cinderella with Whitney Houston was so iconic for so many reasons,” Ora said of Brandy, who inspired her in many ways, “It made me believe in myself – like, ‘Oh my goodness, I can do this too.’”
Brandy’s, 45, journey both as a singer and an actor motivated the Hot Right Now chart-topper to kickstart her own career.
“That’s something that I love to do and that I aspire to be: a musician and an actor at the same time, and she was able to balance both, and that’s a huge priority for me,” Ora said with a smile.
“This was so fun, and she gave me so much advice, and we sang together. I love her,” Ora gushed over The Front Door actress.
Additionally, Descendants: The Rise of Red is now streaming on Disney+.
