Angela Bofill, known for her hit songs I Try and This Time I’ll Be Sweeter, has passed away at the age of 70.
According to People Magazine, a representative confirmed the news on Friday, June 14, stating that Bofill died on Thursday morning at her daughter’s home in Vallejo, California.
Her friend and manager, Rich Engel, took to late singer’s personal Facebook account to confirm the news of Bofill’s passing through an official announcement.
“JUST TO CLEAR UP THE CONFUSION. ON BEHALF OF SHAUNA BOFILL, HUSBAND CHRIS PORTUGUESE, WE ARE SADDENED BUT MUST REPORT THAT THE PASSING OF ANGELA YESTERDAY IS INDEED TRUE,” Engel wrote.
He also expressed gratitude for the early condolences from Melba Moore and Maysa.
