After a consistent rise, the gold prices in Pakistan experienced a slight fall on Saturday, reflecting a downward trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs500, bringing the new rate to Rs256,800.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold also saw a dent of Rs429, reaching Rs220,165. The price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold has reached Rs201,817.
The international gold market also experienced a reduction on Saturday, with the price per ounce falling by $15 to $2,443, as reported by the APGJSA.
Conversely, silver rates in the local market remained stable at Rs2,900 per tola, showing no change.
Earlier this month, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs4,600 to Rs254,000.
This record-setting trend underscores the volatility and significant shifts in the precious metals market, influenced by both domestic and global economic factors.
