ISLAMABAD:
The federal government has shared with the IMF a five-year revenue generation plan aiming at bringing more than 20 million new tax payers in the tax net.
The plan includes proposed targets for broadening the tax net during the next five years.
According to sources, the plan aims to incorporate more than 20 million new tax payers during the next five-year period. In order to achieve the target, 3.722 million individuals and 23,500 associations of persons will be registered during the current financial year.
